Hey guys! So, as the title of this post implies, I’ll be talking two things in particular: summer, and hiatuses.
But first, let’s talk summer.
And more specifically: SUMMER. BOOKISH. RELEASES.
There are many many awesome books coming out this summer .. and oh my goodness, my wallet will be seriously CRYING after it’s over, but I can’t help it.
And now, I give you .. My Top 5 (I know, I know: picking only 5 is seriously hard, but I have fabulously managed *flips hair*).
(Wait, and by the way: clicking on the following covers lead to their Goodreads pages. Get it? Got it? Good.)
Witchtown by Cory Putnam Oakes
I actually have an ARC of this one (thank you, HMH!), and I’m around halfway through, and I must admit that it’s kinda epic. It’s basically about a mother and daughter seeking refuge in a witch-only city, and they’re planning on robbing it. If that doesn’t sound awesome, I don’t know what does.
Saints and Misfits by SK Ali
You absolutely CANNOT deny me the awesome beautiful-ness of that cover (I’m seriously in love with that lettering) .. and a hijabi MC! Plus, that synopsis sounds so intriguing (go read the blurb .. I’ll wait).
Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab
Guys. GUYS. We’re talking about the sequel to the fabulousness that was This Savage Song (that I adored the EVERYTHING out of). I dare you to say no to that. It’s by VE Schwab, who, as I’ve mentioned time and again, is basically QUEEN.
Now I Rise by Kiersten White
Sequel to And I Darken. Gorgeous cover. See this book right here (or, rather, up there)? This book is going to be the death of me because, and I really don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel as if these characters are never going to be happy any time soon and I just CANT DEAL WITH THE STRESS, OKAY? Oh my goodness.
Wonderwoman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo
A NEW LEIGH BOOK. I MUST DEVOUR EVERYTHING SHE WRITES MWAHAHAHAHA.
Alright, now that we’ve hit summer releases, let’s talk: HIATUS.
So, as you may figured, I will be taking a 2-month-ish long break from blogging and reviewing and etc. .. because I’ll be traveling! WOOOO.
Yes, yes, I know you’ll miss me (stop shaking your head back there, I SEE YOU), but .. I don’t know how much this will make you feel better, or it might amuse you because you’re actually quite evil on the side (one of us, one of us), but .. I will finally be reading A Conjuring of Light after putting it off due to my studies torturing me, and I heard ACoL will make me cry, so .. I HOPE YOU’RE ENJOYING WATCHING ME SUFFER.
Plus, my flight is 13 hours (yeah, I know), so I’ll attempt to binge-read my most anticipated read of 2017 without my eyeballs melting onto the pages. #IApologizeForThat
And oh, I feel like this warrants a mention, but if KELL DOESN’T GET HIS HEA, I’M SETTING ACOL ON FIRE AND THOWING IT OFF THE PLANE.
