Mini Review: Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo: well, that was underwhelming

Oh well. That was very underwhelming.

This book suffered from MIDDLE BOOK SYNDROME in its worst possible way. Nearly 450 pages of nothing except getting ready, getting ready, getting ready. And then, when some action finally kicked in, the book ended. =Not cool, not enjoyable.

So what saved this from being a flat-out 1-star? Hm, let’s see.

NIKOLAI. He was just as amazing as everybody promised. He made me laugh. He made me care. All the stars for Nikolai. (Sadly, though, that’s not all a book needs to be successful.)

That ENDING. It was unexpected and came out of nowhere. (But to be fair, I wasn’t expected much due to the fact that this book made me nap.)

Yes, I will be reading Ruin & Rising because that ending rocked.

ALSO: On a completely unrelated note, that covers makes me DIZZZZZY.
